2008 NoLotteryArkansas Campaign Time Line

APRIL : Denominational leaders, pastors, and lay leaders make their members aware of the issue, and encourage prayer, support, and grass roots participation to defeat the lottery initiative. They can direct them to NoLotteryArkansas.com to discover ways to get involved in this campaign.

MAY - JUNE : As the awareness and education efforts continue, denominations, associations, churches, and individuals provide support for ACEP and its state wide NoLotteryArkansas campaign.

JULY - SEPTEMBER : With encouragement from their denomination leaders, pastors and churches lead voter registration drives in churches and communities and conduct periodic and informative voter education efforts.

OCTOBER : In conjunction with the voter education efforts, denomination leaders, pastors, and church members should work hard to turnout the largest vote possible. Voter turnout is quite simply the key to victory for us. Without a strong, comprehensive turnout from our base, success may elude us.

NOVEMBER 4 IS ELECTION DAY and regardless of the result, we can be content if we’ve been faithful. And if God again blesses us with success, we should be quick to remember the wisdom of Proverbs 21:23. "A horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory comes from the Lord."
